The following trips will be offered for ILR members and guests in 2025 based on the survey results. We had a good response and selected 13 Multi-Day Trips and 11 Single Day trips for 2025. Specific information for each trip will be emailed to you in the upcoming weeks and will also be posted on our website ilrbw.org.

Historic and Ethnic Cleveland – Part 2      March 11, 2025

Cost: $99 per person

Continuing on our series of Cleveland ethnic tours, come join us and learn about hidden Cleveland areas and how we have grown and developed. We’ll start by seeing the Beach bath house that became a garden center that became an aquarium before becoming a police canine training facility! We’ll see the first filming of a Bank Robbery in the World, enroute to restored League Park, the original home of the 1891 Cleveland Spiders and where Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run. We’ll experience Cleveland’s answer to New York’s Greenwich Village at Coventry-on-the-Heights and then take in the specialties of the oldest Kosher grocery store & bakery in Cleveland. We’ll have lunch at an elegant 1920’s hotel overlooking the Art Museum lagoons and is now a restored apartment building. In the afternoon, we’ll visit an ethnic Shrine Church, see the development of Steelyard Commons and complete our day touring trendy Tremont, developed in 1853 with the first College in Cleveland.
Just like Part I, we will combine history, surprises (and lunch) to give you a view of the culture and heritage that makes Cleveland a unique mosaic of people and places. ... [ more ]

Progressive Field Tour & LADY CAROLINE Lunch Cruise       June 19, 2025

Here is a new and unique tour as we'll start with a Behind-the-Scenes walking tour of Progressive Field. We'll take an elevator to the actual Game Press Box and sit where all the media people sit during the games and where our guide will share the history of the team and the ballpark. Next, we'll take an elevator to the lowest level and enter the Visitor's Clubhouse before we stop in the Visitor Dugout for more stories. (Based on the day we MAY be able to actually walk on the field, but that is NOT guaranteed.) Explore Wisconsin      July 8-13, 2025

Here is your chance to Kick-Off your Autumn with a fun and exciting adventure as we head for the luxurious Soaring Eagle Resort, in rustic central Michigan. We’ll stop in Bay City, a charming town on the banks of the Saginaw River, for lunch on our own. And we will stop in the unique and famous Cops and Donuts bakery. This tour will be revisiting a Five & Dime store in the hometown of U.S. President Millard Fillmore, the Made in America store where everything including the packaging is made in the U.S., a sightseeing dinner cruise along the Buffalo River to Lake Erie, the beautiful Darwin Martin home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a factory that built many of the carousels and merry-go-rounds seen at amusement parks around the country, and of course, Niagara Falls. Dickens Victorian Village, Cambridge      December, 17, 2025

Join us for a unique holiday adventure as we take a trip back in time and experience old world England as historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio is transformed into a Dickens Victorian Village each holiday season.
We’ll start at the Welcome Center and learn how this event came to be and we’ll meet our step-on-guide to help us discover this unique experience. During our tour, we’ll view many of the 92 scenes and 180 lifelike figures representing classic scenes from the Victorian era. The Dickens Victorian Village scenes are comprised of life sized and hand-made mannequins wearing real vintage clothing. The displays include classic Dickens-era scenes and figures such as Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, the town crier, groups of carolers, school children, street peddlers, and Father Christmas, all posed in active scenes that appear frozen in time.

After our tour, we’ll enjoy a late lunch in Cambridge followed by shopping time and we’ll complete our day viewing the 1881 county courthouse bathed in colored lights, 36 animated light displays, and 15,000 lights outlining the building.
